3rd International Symposium on New Trends in Language Studies 

(October 10–11, 2025 Ankara, Türkiye - Turkistan, Kazakhstan)

 

The 3rd International Symposium on New Trends in Language Studies, jointly organized by the Faculty of Foreign Languages of Ankara Social Sciences University and the Faculty of Philology of Ahmet Yesevi International Kazakh-Turkish University, aims to comprehensively explore language studies in the 21st century. The symposium seeks to address every aspect of the concept of language—which is the most fundamental element of communication and a guiding force in people’s lives on an international scale. The focus will be on how language comes to the forefront with various purposes and contents in the fields of technological developments, artificial intelligence applications, multilingualism, migration, tourism, health, literature, technology, and education, and what kind of role it plays in solving the problems emerging in these areas. In our rapidly changing world, there is a growing need to reassess current practices and studies, and to discuss new trends and approaches. As a specialized university, our institution upholds a mission of contributing to the advancement of science, society, and humanity through education, research, entrepreneurship, and social responsibility in the field of Social Sciences, and has a vision of leading progress in the Social Sciences with pioneering efforts. In line with this vision, the symposium, coordinated by the Faculty of Foreign Languages and supported by the School of Foreign Languages and DILMER, aims to contribute to international language studies. The third iteration of the symposium, to be held on October 10–11, 2025, will focus on the following topics:

  • New Approaches in Foreign Language Teaching
  • Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language
  • Translation Studies in Light of Technological Advances
  • Digitalization and Language Teaching Technologies
  • Multilingualism, Language Policies, and Migration
  • Current Trends in Translation and Localization Studies
  • Intercultural Communication and Language
  • Natural Language Processing and AI-Supported Language Studies
  • The Theme of Family in Literary Works
  • Language Learning and the Family

The symposium will be held simultaneously in Ankara, Turkey and Turkistan, Kazakhstan. All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process. Accepted papers will be included in the book of abstracts, and full-text papers will be published as an ISBN-registered e-book. Participation in the symposium is free of charge, and papers written in Turkish, English, Russian, Japanese, Spanish, Chinese, or Arabic will be accepted.
